Mickleden Straddle 3rd February 2019
The 2019 race took place on a relatively calm sunny morning. Recent snow still lay on the ground making conditions under foot a tad slippy in places and not a day for course records.
The race was won by Chris Holdsworth of Ribble Valley Harriers in time of 01:39:25 with first lady Sarah Hodgson of Leeds City AC coming home in 02:04:36.
The Ladies team prize was won by Totley AC who narrowly pipped home club Denby Dale. The Mens team prize was won by Dark Peak who had three runners home in the top 12.
Many thanks to Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team who made sure everyone returned safely off the fells.
