Mickleden Straddle - Sunday 1st February 2026 at 11am

​BL category fell race over 14.3miles with 2431ft ascent

The club welcomed 157 runners to the 2026 edition of the race which took place on a dry & relatively calm day, though conditions underfoot could be described as 'on the soggy side' after all the recent rain.​
​
Tom Evans was first man home in a quick time of 1:39:45, just a minute ahead of Dan Haworth of Matlock AC. In the ladies' race Emily Cowper-Coles of Dark Peak returned to regain her crown in a time of 1:54:10, easing ahead of Abi Haworth of Steel City Striders who took second place.
​
Dark Peak went home with the Men's team prize, with Holmfirth Harriers leading in the the ladies team event.
​
The club are very grateful to Woodhead Mountain Rescue for their expertise in support of today's race.
