Mickleden Straddle - Sunday 1st February 2026 at 11am
BL category fell race over 14.3miles with 2431ft ascent
The club welcomed 157 runners to the 2026 edition of the race which took place on a dry & relatively calm day, though conditions underfoot could be described as 'on the soggy side' after all the recent rain.
Tom Evans was first man home in a quick time of 1:39:45, just a minute ahead of Dan Haworth of Matlock AC. In the ladies' race Emily Cowper-Coles of Dark Peak returned to regain her crown in a time of 1:54:10, easing ahead of Abi Haworth of Steel City Striders who took second place.
Dark Peak went home with the Men's team prize, with Holmfirth Harriers leading in the the ladies team event.
The club are very grateful to Woodhead Mountain Rescue for their expertise in support of today's race.
