Travellers 6 - Sunday 15th December 2019
An undulating and challenging rural course of approx. 6 miles on quiet country roads, starting and finishing at the Pie Hall in Denby Dale.
Not a PB course but a really good run!
This year’s race is being run in support of the Pie Hall – a community facility for all who live in Denby Dale & the surrounding villages.
Minimum age 16 yrs.
Entry limit of 300 runners.
Festive fancy dress optional !!
Start time - 11am
Pie Hall, Denby Dale, HD8 8RX.
Start & finish at the Pie Hall.
Pre-entry only via Racebest opened 1st October
£8 for UKA club runners and £10 for unattached runners.
At the Pie Hall from 9.30am for collection of race numbers.
No parking at the Pie Hall on race day. Please park on local roads with due consideration for residents and businesses, car sharing where possible.
Toilets / changing
Toilets available in the Pie Hall. Sorry, no showers.
Prizes & presentation
Prizes in the usual categories, including team prizes and best local runner. Presentation of trophies & prizes will take place in the Pie Hall where free post-race refreshments will also be served. Bar facilities also available.

2018 race - Sun 16th December
258 competitors ran the 2018 edition of the Travellers 6 on a bright December morning. The race was won by Scott Hinchcliffe of Penistone Footpath Runners in a record time of 32.52 beating his own record from 2017. As last year, first lady home was Fiona Davies from Rotherham Harriers in 38.35.
The Men's team prize went to Penistone, just pipping Wakefield Harriers by one place with Wakefield Harriers gaining revenge by beating Penistone for the ladies team prize.
Jo Worboys-Hodgson and James Mumford were first DDAC members home.
