Fell Running
The Club has a growing fell running section with club members taking part in fell races throughout Northern England, including the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Relay in April, Calderdale Way Relay in May and the British Fell & Hill Relay Championships in October.
​Fell Captains Johnny & Sam have proposed a championship comprising 23 races; with 9 'short’, 8 'medium' and 6 'long' to choose from.
For each race a performance-based scoring system dependent on your finishing time relative to the first man & lady is used. Basically, the closer your time is to the winner’s time the more points you get. Scores for 'medium' & 'long' races will be multiplied by a factor of 1.1 and 1.2 respectively, as an inducement to take part in longer distances.

Each runner's best 4 scores count towards their overall championship score. 20 Bonus Points are available for running in one of the club's teams at the Calderdale Way Relay in May

In addition to the overall men’s and ladies championship trophies, there are also vets (over 40) and supervets (over 50) categories for both men and women.
