2023 Combined Championship
The 2023 championship features a mixture of 'local' road, fell & trail races over different distances.
The competition features 16 events; 11 ‘short’, 3 ‘medium’ and 2 ‘long’ with best scores from up to 6 races to count. There is no minimum number of races and no requirement to do races from each distance category.
This year we are again using a performance-based scoring system dependent on your finishing time relative to the first man & lady. Basically, the closer your time is to the winner’s time the more points you get. Scores for 'medium' & 'long' races will be multiplied by a factor of 1.1 and 1.2 respectively, as an inducement to take part in longer distances.

In addition to the overall men’s and ladies championship winners, there will also be vets (over 40) and supervets (over 50) categories for both men and women.

Parkrun 5k - A Saturday in July
Complete any UK Parkrun in July and we’ll calculate your score relative to the first man or lady at that event (the course can be fast or slow, what matters is how close you are to the winner!), so 5 opportunities to run a good time.
NB. Your club must show as Denby Dale AC on the parkrun website otherwise we’ll not find you.
